STR Custom Shop LS549, a five-string bass, documented as build #497. STR describe the LS as their most standard model, built to a traditional detachable-neck specification with a deeply carved cutaway for unimpeded access to the top frets and a three- or five-piece neck for rigidity. Bug wood on alder body, five-piece maple and walnut neck, birdseye maple fingerboard, bone nut, Jescar frets. STR JJ-5 pickups with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Hipshot bridge and GOTOH GB707 tuners. Supplied with a protect case. Built by Deviser in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. No list price is published for this model.
