STR Custom Shop LS449, a four-string bass, documented as build #481. STR describe the LS as their most standard model, built to a traditional detachable-neck specification with a deeply carved cutaway for unimpeded access to the top frets and a three- or five-piece neck for rigidity. Stabilized Wood is impregnated with resin through the body of the timber, so unlike a surface finish the colour penetrates the wood and combines with the grain. Stabilized Wood top on a one-piece ash back, three-piece flame maple neck, flame maple fingerboard, bone nut, lacquered top. STR JJ-4 pickups with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Hipshot Style A bridge and Ultralite tuners. Marked by STR as a one-off (限定1本) -- one of the Deviser special instruments built for the 2018 Musical Instrument Fair.
