About the Mouse 30 Fretless

fretless. hollow body. Short-scale 30-inch semi-hollow fretless built from the same materials and electronics as the MB-2. Lower string tension means less attack but more bloom and a slightly fuller low end — the maker calls it the fattest sounding of the range. 1-5/8" nut, 23/32" bridge spacing, 38" overall length (the same as a Telecaster), about 5.5 lbs. Options include an f-hole, integrated thumbrest and D-tuner. Rob Allen builds to order and publishes no list price; no new stock of this model was listed at the time of writing. Comparable models run roughly $4,400–$5,500. Handbuilt in Fillmore, California.
