4-string · Bolt-on
Rob Allen's homage to Leo Fender and the only solid-body in the range. Swamp ash body in thin nitrocellulose lacquer, quartersawn maple neck, rosewood board with rolled edges and vintage-sized frets dressed inside the edges. An original solid aluminium bridge with no moving parts is inset 1/4" into the body to couple directly to the wood, and carries the volume and tone controls. Hand-wound single coil with Alnico 2 magnets; a two-pickup version adds a blend control and is hum-cancelling with both on. Bridge sits near the end of the body for balance with no neck dive. Around 7.25 lbs. Rob Allen builds to order and publishes no list price; $5,150 is the lowest currently-listed in-stock example. Handbuilt in Fillmore, California.
