Wilkins WRTJ. J-style bass in the RoadTested Series, made to specifications developed from years of research on one of the most widely used basses in the world. Alder body. Available as WRTJ4 (4-string) and WRTJ5 (5-string). 34-inch scale. Body: Alder. Pickups: Howard Ulyate custom-wound J-style. RoadTested Series construction: bodies of carefully selected alder or ash cut to vintage or modern specifications; solid maple necks with a choice of Indian or Brazilian rosewood, ebony, maple or roasted maple fingerboards; period-correct, vintage-style or larger frets. Pickups custom wound by Howard Ulyate. Stock vintage-style wiring or modern electronics. Hipshot bridge and tuners standard. An ultra-thin satin finish balances weight between neck and body and improves resonance. Finishes are done in house, with custom colours on request.
