About the S-521bCSJ

Five-string J-style bass from Saito's S Series and the more modern of the pair. 34-inch scale, 21 Jescar FW-57110 nickel-silver frets and a flatter 12-16 inch compound radius, 47.6mm nut. Alder two-piece body, hard maple neck with a Classic JB grip, Indian rosewood or hard maple fingerboard. SAYTONE hand-wound Five Vantage+ pickups into 2 volume and 1 tone, GOTOH GB528-5 tuners and Saito's own VTB-5 bridge at 19mm pitch. Strung with D'Addario EXL165-5 (45-135). Urethane matte finish, aluminium neck joint plate, rolled fingerboard edges, Luminlay side position dots, 19mm string pitch, chrome hardware, SHB130 black semi-hard case. Built to order by Saito Gakkikoubou Inc. in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan — body colour is chosen on the order form and no list price is published.
