Three EMG HZ passive pickups (Thunderbird, Reverse-P and Jazz) run through an 18V EMG BQ30 3-band preamp and McGrath's own 12-way rotary switch - six audio-grade relays giving 12 distinct pickup configurations. Offered P-Style or J-Style, in 4- or 5-string and standard/medium/short scale. Handcrafted in San Diego, California by McGrath Guitars, with bodies and headstocks hand-painted by Madelyn McGrath; roasted flame maple necks, mahogany bodies, Badass high-mass bridge and Badass Lightweight tuners, ships in a Gator hardcase. Signature line debuted at NAMM 2026. Price range about $1,740-$3,700 depending on options.
