The 'Sears Dragon' — Pete Sears's (Jefferson Starship) custom P/J bass, with an ornamental dragon inlay designed by Tom Lieber and Steve Klein; the first to use cocobolo. Cocobolo/flamed-maple/birdseye body, 7-piece laminate neck, Gabon ebony board with ivory inlay, P + J pickups, LED 'dragon eyes'. Stolen in 1978, recovered 35 years later (Rolling Stone).
