4-string · Neck-through (Alembic-style)
One-off Explorer-shaped bass with a Gibson-correct body and tri-angled headstock, arched bubinga top, neck-through Alembic-style build, EQ-4 sliding pole-piece pickup. Commissioned FOR John Entwistle (The Who) via Stanley Clarke, but Entwistle cancelled when the band ended — he never received or played it; the finished bass went to a private collector. NOTE: named for / commissioned by Entwistle but NOT played by him, so no player link. Scale/strings not stated — 4 inferred. No list price. USA (Lieber).
