The S-Bass body shape. Hand-built to order in the USA by Chris Wood of CB Basses. Deep-set-neck construction with a 3-piece maple ('Classic') or maple/wenge/maple ('Modern') neck, 24 German fret-wire frets (more/fretless-lined optional), 32"/34"/35" scale (custom scale optional), Hipshot bridge and Gotoh tuners. Pickups from Nordstrand, Bartolini, EMG or Armstrong; passive standard with optional active preamp and piezo. Offered in 4-, 5-, 6- or 7-string, Standard or Deluxe (Deluxe adds a figured top, three body woods, Hipshot Ultralite tuners and Dunlop strap-locks); left-handed, gold hardware, ebony/Dymondwood fingerboards and more available. Custom select tonewoods (e.g. bubinga, koa, buckeye burl, purpleheart). Standard from $2,350 (4-string) up to $3,200 (Deluxe 7-string).
